Four football players who were All-Sunset League selections last season at Los Alamitos have transferred to Millikan, the players confirmed this week.
Running back Anthony League (6-1, 205), offensive linemen Kapono Mao (6-0, 300) and Maki Stewart (6-6, 335) and defensive back Josh Tuchek (6-1, 180) have enrolled at the Moore League school in Long Beach, they confirmed.
All four will be seniors in the fall.
Mao, a center, was selected co-offensive lineman of the year in the Sunset League this past season. He shared the honor with USC signee Justin Tauanuu of Huntington Beach.
League, Stewart and Tuchek each earned first-team all-league honors as the Griffins (9-3) captured their fourth consecutive Sunset League title and reached the CIF-SS Division 2 quarterfinals. They lost to Serra of Gardena 38-28.
Recruiting analyst Greg Biggins of 247Sports reported on social media that Los Alamitos linebacker Sirr Bible also has transferred to Millikan.
Last season, Millikan added former Los Alamitos wide receiver Jude Nelson, brother of former Los Alamitos quarterback Malachi Nelson, who is now at Boise State. Jude Nelson will be a junior in the fall.
The Rams finished 7-4 last season, falling to Villa Park 28-21 in the first round of the Division 3 playoffs.

Earlier this offseason, Los Alamitos sophomore linebacker Ivrick Carrigan, also a first-team all-league selection, confirmed that he was among the players who has transferred to Santa Margarita.
In total, Los Alamitos has lost at least seven high-profile returners to transfers.
“By the way our guys are working in the weight room, we have an extremely motivated 2024 football team,” Los Alamitos football coach Ray Fenton said Thursday. “It’s going to be fun.”
The Griffins will move this upcoming season to the Alpha League, the top-rated group in the new Orange County Football Conference. The four-team league includes Mission Viejo, San Clemente and Edison.
