Next week’s live entertainment at Southern California casinos includes two podcasters who have each had their run on comedy television shows, ’80s rock acts, two Mexican technobandas and a Canadian comedian who hosted one of the last shows for legendary comedian George Carlin before his death.

Be sure to check the official websites for the latest event information.

Night Ranger

One of the most prominent rock and roll acts of the ’80s is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a tour stop in Rancho Mirage. The San Francisco act, known for hits such as “Sister Christian,” “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” and “When You Close Your Eyes,” released their latest album, “Midnight in Michigan,” in 2021. Night Ranger will be back in Southern California later this year to perform at the Los Angeles County Fair alongside Cheap Trick. 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2 at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa, 32-250 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage. $30-$95. 800-514-3849. aguacalientecasinos.com.

Great White & Slaughter

When it comes to glam metal in the ’80s, Great White and Slaughter have earned plenty of fanfare thanks to their heavy riff and MTV airplay. Great White has undergone some lineup changes, including hiring a 26-year-old fan from Alabama, Brett Carlisle, as their new singer. While Great White is from Los Angeles, the center of the glam scene, Slaughter came out of Las Vegas before moving to L.A. The band’s first record, “Stick It to Ya,” went gold after a single live performance and got them to open for rock giants Kiss. 8 p.m. Feb. 2 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino, 84-245 Indio Springs Parkway, Indio. $59-$99. 800-827-2946. fantasyspringsresort.com.

“Bad Friends” with Andrew Santino & Bobby Lee

The co-hosts of the comedy podcast “Bad Friends,” Andrew Santino and Bobby Lee, are coming together for a live casino show. Santino stars alongside Lil Dicky in FX’s “Dave” and has been involved in several other TV projects such as “Mixology,” “Game Over Man” and “I’m Dying Up Here.” Lee cut his teeth on the sketch comedy show “Mad TV.” Most recently, Lee’s appeared on “And Just Like That,” “Magnum PI” and “Reservation Dogs.”  8 p.m. Feb. 2, at Pechanga Resort Casino, 45000 Pechanga Parkway, Temecula. $60-$165. 877-711-2946. pechanga.com.

Banda El Mexicano & Arkangel R15

Banda El Mexicano started in 1973 as a group mostly playing quebraditas, but by the ’80s, the Sinaloan band started incorporating a synthesizer and dabbling in technobanda. Some of the group’s hits such as “No Bailes by Caballito,” “Feliz, Feliz” and “Quién Piensa En Ti” crossed over into the U.S. Another pioneer in technobanda is Arkangel R15 who formed in the ’90s out of Las Varas, Mexico. Some of their hits include “Voy a Pintar Mi Raya,” “La 4 X 4” and “Recordando Una Pena.” 8 p.m. Feb. 2 at Spotlight 29 Casino, 46-200 Harrison Place, Coachella. $15-$70. 21-and-older only. 760-775-5566. spotlight29.com.

Russell Peters

Russell Peters is arguably one of the first comedians to have gone global, thanks to the internet. The Canadian comic was the first to sell out Air Canada Centre in 2007. He has succeeded in other markets, including in the United States, where he hosted one of the last shows for legendary comedian George Carlin before his death. In addition to his comedy, he wrote and produced the television series “The Indian Detective” in 2017 and currently hosts his podcast, “Culturally Cancelled with Russell Peters.” 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3 at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino, 777 San Manuel Blvd., Highland. $45-$360; 21-and-older only. 909-864-5050. yaamava.com.
