Cal State San Bernardino announced Sunday evening that all classes scheduled for Monday, Feb. 5 will be held remotely because of safety concerns with heavy rain and potential flooding expected as a storm system makes its way over the region.
Both the main campus at 5500 University Parkway and the Palm Desert Campus, at 37500 Cook Street, will be closed on Monday, only open for essential operations for staff members, university officials said in the announcement.
Staff members were encouraged by officials to work remotely.
The announcement did not include information on whether Tuesday classes would be impacted by the weather.
Also Sunday, it was confirmed other campuses would at least partially close Monday including Cal Poly Pomona, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Cal State Los Angeles, Cal State Northridge and Cal State Long Beach.
