Updated rain map: Orange County’s wettest spot from ‘Pineapple Express’ of Feb. 1-2

Wettest spot is Seal Beach at 2.76 inches.

Where’s the wettest spot in Orange County from the start of February’s “Pineapple Express” storm?

The map reflects rainfall stats collected by OC Public Works at 60 sites countywide for the 48 hours ended Friday, February 2, at 6:30 a.m. The storm flooded part of several beach communities.

The median rainfall at the 60 measurement sites was 1.38 inches with 52 collections topping 1 inch. The rainiest spots were:

  • Seal Beach at 2.76 inches.
  • Carbon Creek Channel at 2.59 inches.
  • Anaheim – Barber City at 2.36 inches.
  • Garden Grove at 2.24 inches.
  • Gilbert Retention Basin at 2.17 inches.
  • Dana Point Ocean Institute Weather Station at 2.13 inches.
  • Santiago Peak Standpipe at 2.13 inches.
