Anaheim United Methodist Church offers a huge rummage sale every year and there are great bargains and a variety of items available.
This year’s sale will run this weekend and next and the church is at 1000 S. State College Blvd.

Paint the evening away as a museum in Anaheim.
The Muzeo Museum and Cultural Center is presenting a Valentine’s Day themed wine and painting night on Feb. 8.
The event from 5 to 7 p.m. will be held in the Muzeo’s Main Gallery. Cost is $40 for two people and includes all supplies, step-by-step instructions and wine. Reserve tickets at muzeo.org
The Assistance League of Anaheim will be gathering for a general meeting (members and guests are invited) on Feb. 8 at the Ebell Club. Assistance League presidents past and present will be honored.
Also, Valentine’s Day cards will be prepared and sent to residents at Grandma’s House of Hope.
The plan is to have a 5:30 mingle and 6 p.m. dinner and program. Cost is $10 for dinner; RSVP to Hilary by Feb. 5.

Anaheim Beautiful offers quarterly awards for those residents who take extra steps to make their property beautiful.
The next nomination deadline for the property awards is Feb 11.

The Anaheim Family YMCA is planning for its upcoming fifth annual YMCA Gala.
This year’s event will honor long time YMCA supporter Paul Kott.

He has been based in Southern California for 30 years and his dance group is nationally recognized.

Supplies can be picked up from the Bee Canyon Greenery at the Frank R. Bowerman Landfill in Irvine and the Capistrano Greenery at the Prima Deschecha Landfill in San Juan Capistrano. Make an appointment at OCLandfills.com/compost to pick some up.
Plan to take a shovel and containers that you can fill on your own.
Realtor Meghan Shigo has produced a number of calendars with stories about our Anaheim vintage homes.
The 2024 calendars are available in the library box outside of her office at 351 E. Center St.
Community members are invited to go by and pick up a free calendar with some history of Anaheim, while available.
The Cypress College Foundation’s Americana Awards Gala will be March 16.
This year the Anaheim Citizen of the Year award will go to s Jody Daily and Kevin Kidney – our Halloween Festival champions.
