As professionals in the music industry start to gather in Anaheim for their annual, massive convention, several stopped at a local elementary school to inspire future musicians.
The NAMM Foundation and some of its members visited Sunkist Elementary School for a day of service ahead of the four-day trade show at the Anaheim Convention Center.
In workshops throughout the morning, the musicians, young and professional, talked about songwriting, explored various instruments and played music. There were mariachi performances, drum circles and ukulele jams.
NAMM officials also presented a $10,000 check for music education.
