Tickets are on sale for Cruisin’ 2 Freedom, a fundraiser that supports efforts by In-N-Out Burger’s owner and president Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson to combat human trafficking.
The event is a car cruise and dinner on Saturday, Jan. 13. It begins with the cruise, 3 p.m. at 21101 Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach, followed by the dinner at 4 p.m. at the Hangar in the OC Fair & Event Center, 88 Fair Drive Costa Mesa.
It benefits Slave 2 Nothing Foundation, a nonprofit created by Snyder-Ellingson and her husband Sean Ellingson that funds grassroots programs to fight substance abuse and human trafficking. January is Human Trafficking Prevention Month, so Slave 2 Nothing holds events this time of year.
A book by Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson also supports the nonprofit. It’s called “The Ins-N-Outs of In-N-Out Burger,” and it traces the history of the chain her grandparents founded in 1948.
She is a car enthusiast who raced at the In-N-Out Burger Pomona Dragstrip during the chain’s 75th anniversary celebration in October.
The deadline for general attendees’ registration is Friday, Jan. 5, according to representatives. The cost is $100 and includes the dinner, a T-shirt and commemorate gift.
