Lloyd Glick of Huntington Beach is a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and served in the Pacific. He and his wife, Judy, traveled to Tokyo on a cruise to celebrate his 90th birthday, and they took the Wave along with them.

Judy Glick writes: “Our Crystal Serenity cruise ship made stops in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan, Okinawa and Yokohama. Both the War in the Pacific National Memorial Park in Guam and the American Memorial Park in Saipan provide especially warm welcomes to welcome returning World War II veterans.

“They presented Lloyd with resolutions from the legislature, commemorative liberator’s medals and other gifts. He was interviewed by local newspaper and television reporters. All of this was very unexpected and deeply appreciated.”
