A 23-year-old Huntington Beach man was arrested in the fatal stabbing of a man in Fountain Valley, police announced Monday.
The stabbing occurred Friday, Nov. 24 around 12:33 a.m. in the area of Edinger Avenue and Newhope Street, where police found 32-year-old Lorenzo Carreno from Santa Ana suffering from multiple stab wounds. Carreno was hospitalized and later died from his injuries, police said in a statement.
Authorities detained a man at the scene, identified as David MacDonald, who was later arrested on suspicion of murder. Details on the circumstances leading up to the stabbing or the suspect’s relationship with the victim — if any — were not immediately released.
