Flags of Honor will once again be on display over Veteran’s Day weekend, Nov. 9-12, at Eucalyptus Park honoring all local veterans, military service members and first responders.
This special event, sponsored by the Anaheim Hills Rotary Club, also offers an opportunity for community members to sponsor a flag in remembrance of Veteran’s Day and to honor a hero in their own life. A special dedication ceremony is planned for noon on Nov. 11 at the park and the community is invited.
Flag sponsorships are $50 per flag, and $35 for each additional flag, and allow a personal dedication to be attached as it is positioned within the field of honor. There are also event sponsorships available.

Learn to line dance with the Women’s Club
Attend the Pumpkin Harvest Luncheon at 11 a.m. on Oct. 18 at the Anaheim Hills Golf Course and you will have the opportunity to learn to line dance. The luncheon is sponsored by the Anaheim Hills Women’s Club and all women in the community are invited.
The afternoon entertainment will feature the debut of the country music duet, The Road Runners, who will also offer line dance instruction. Guests also have the choice of three lunch entrées. The day concludes at 2 p.m.

Trunk or treat at Canyon Hills Presbyterian
The Children’s Ministry at Canyon Hills Presbyterian Church is inviting the community to its annual Truck or Treat Halloween Festival from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 21 in the church parking lot.
This all-family event is free to attend and offers an opportunity for kids to come dressed in costume and trick-or-treat in a safe environment as they have fun going from truck to truck individually decorated for Halloween and parked in tailgate fashion. This event also includes live music, contests, food, drinks and much more.

Learn the latest from City Hall
Anaheim’s Community Services Department will host its latest neighbor community meeting for District 6 at 7 on Oct. 19 at the East Anaheim Community Center.

Shop books and holiday fun
Friends of Canyon Hills Library will host a Boo-k Sale and Boo-Tique at its next flash sale scheduled from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Oct. 17 and 18 in the library’s Multipurpose Room. This sale will also feature Christmas Items — you won’t want to miss — all at bargain prices. A $2 a Bag for Books will be offered on Oct. 18.

Mothers and daughters team for charity
The National Charity League Class of 2025 will host its 16th annual fashion show and luncheon fundraiser, themed Bright, Bold & Beautiful at 11 a.m. on Nov. 12 at The Waterfront Beach Resort in Huntington Beach. The community is invited.
This special event benefits the NCL Orange/Villa Park Chapter and its philanthropy partners. Members of this chapter are mothers and daughters in the Orange Unified School District, which includes Canyon High School. The mission of the NCL is to foster mother/daughter relationships, a commitment to community service, leadership development and cultural experience.
The Class of 2025 include: Fallon Boyle, Ava Candelaria, Kennedy DeMarco, Claire Elliott, Sophia Griego, Ava Kellman, Amber Larsen, Nickolette Morrell, Isabella Puccio, May Reyes, Taylor Robinson, Hailey Rodriquez, Chloe Samson, Phoebe Sauber, Trudy Schmidt, Olivia Trevizo and Joslyn Winn.
