Anaheim library award gets congressional recognition

Congressman J. Luis Correa recently honored the Anaheim Public Library on the floor of the House of Representatives with a Congressional Record for its recent “Turning Red Tape Into Red Carpet Award.” The library received one of the event’s awards for its 2022 Foster Youth Initiative from the Orange County Business Council.

The congressman applauded the library system for making resources available for children in need, including those in foster care, who are homeless or are emancipated, to receive a library card. Library cards titled, “We’re Here for You,” enable kids in need to check out library materials without a parent or guardian.

Congratulations to the Anaheim Public Library staff on this prestigious recognition.
